In an interesting take on cost saving, the new European Space Agency (ESA) vehicle the ATV "Jules Verne", is designed to be used only once to resupply the ISS Project. It is the largest capacity craft able to bring 7.6 tonnes of supplies into orbit. It will then un-dock and, filled with waste products, will burn up in an uncontrolled re-entry.
